Retirement life was calling and full time RV living was our goal. We sold our home and set off. First stop was a Morryde suspension upgrade in October of 2024. If you have ever driven in Indiana you’ll realize how important a great suspension setup is. Those roads are awful and the difference from stock to the independent suspension is incredible. We also upgraded the axle strength from 7k to 8k lbs and went to disc breaks with electric over hydraulic braking. It’s a big relief to have that stopping power in our rig.

A solar package was a must for us. 2400 watts has come in clutch plenty of times when boondocking or just staying off the electric hook up at the RV park when you have to pay per Kilowatt. The entire package is Victron brand with 8 Battle Borne batteries.

We did have a slide that needed the floor replaced by insurance. The company we went with upgraded our other slides to help prevent future issues. The craftsmanship and finish these guys did was great and we feel a lot more confident with the new setup over stock.

To help take some stress or usage from the propane in the winter time we installed a diesel heater plumbed in to the existing ducting. This thing sips diesel and definitely helps out. We had only used it a few times on really cold snaps, but a nice addition.
